Paid Affordable Housing/Community Development Intern with People's Self-Help Housing in SLO
Interns learn the following leadership and technical skills that can help in their personal lives and prepare them to jumpstart a career in affordable housing:
Assist with the financial applications and loan closings for housing developments;
Coordinate meetings, activities, and operations related projects with property management, development and resident services;
Oversee project transition from construction completion to lease-up and operations;
Review financial budget for project milestones and projections.
Interns further develop their leadership skills and on-the-ground experience with their host agency through the program’s mandatory supplemental activities, depending on how the current pandemic progresses activity sessions may take place in person or over Zoom.
